1. Introduction

SY Strategy Surveying Limited (“we”, “us” or “the Company”) respects personal data privacy and handles personal data in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of Hong Kong.

2. Data we may collect

• Name, job title, company name and contact details.
• Project background, contract role and documents voluntarily supplied for an enquiry or engagement.
• Communication records through email, telephone or WhatsApp.
• Technical usage data collected through Google Analytics, such as page views, device and browser information, approximate location and interaction data.
• A language-preference cookie used to remember whether English or Traditional Chinese was selected.

3. Purposes

We use personal data to respond to enquiries, assess requested work, prepare proposals, provide agreed consultancy services, administer business records, maintain security and comply with legal or regulatory obligations.

4. Project documents

Do not send unnecessary personal or confidential project information during an initial enquiry. Documents supplied for an agreed review are used for that review and handled according to the applicable appointment terms.

5. Disclosure and service providers

We do not sell personal data. Data may be processed by service providers needed to operate communications and the website, such as hosting, email, WhatsApp and Google Analytics. Data may also be disclosed where required by law.

6. Analytics and cookies

Google Analytics loads automatically when a visitor uses the website. Google may set analytics cookies and process usage data according to its own terms. We use this information to understand aggregate website use and do not use it to identify individual visitors. Browser settings or content-blocking tools may be used to limit analytics cookies. A separate language-preference cookie records a visitor's manual EN/中文 selection for one year.

7. Retention and security

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably required for the relevant purpose, contractual record keeping or legal obligations. Reasonable administrative and technical measures are used to protect the data, but no transmission method is completely secure.

Requests to access or correct personal data held by the Company may be sent to info@sysurveying.com. We may request information needed to verify the request.
